Dokhra
An ancient method of making metal artefacts from the heart of West Bengal. Dhokra art goes back5000 years. This tribal art form
has survived the test of time. It is crafted from bronze and copper based alloys using traditional lost wax technique done by the metalsmiths of Bengal – the Dhokra Damar tribes.
Gandhorbi Folk Arts is taking an active initiative to introduce Dokhra items in modern lifestyle ,and thus offers , custom wall installations, door handles, table coasters, bottle openers and other home utility items.
Wood
Handmade wooden handicrafts combining traditional designs and age-old techniques are quite popular in different parts of India.
At Gandhorbi we created modern designs combining wood with it with other traditional materials such as Dokhra ,Terracotta, etc, to create a better variety of products with a focus to home decor, home utility and dining essentials.
